About Me

My life began on a settlement until I was age 4. I did not know a word of English when my mother moved us off the settlement. I struggled in school because of it. I overcame most of my obstacles with English as an adult learner, and my real turning point was when I attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. The business writing course through my Medical Transcription Program refreshed and brought forth more skills. However, I admit that I continue to work with it. I think it will be a lifelong learning. Therefore, it is never too late to grow if we keep moving forward.

I enjoy scrapbooking in my spare time and using my creativity to the best of my ability. I also love the challenge of using software that allows me to try new and innovative ideas I can now share with you through my blog. My first post, under books, is of my books using my pictures in MS publishing and other office software to create this unique picture I have shared with you. Also, here is a link http://www.inkwaterbooks.com/ivy/ of my first book if you want more information on my first publication.

Thank you for visiting my site and should you follow me, I would love to hear from you. If smiley faces don’t work here, you can always just click like. That will put a smiley face on me.

PS. I would also like to add my apology to those who have or are having difficulty getting my books from a book store. I hope this situation improves. I have heard your complaints and it is out of my hands. I can only suggest trying online ordering if a company is unable to order it for you.

  1. Thanks for stopping by and viewing my blog. Repeat visits are always welcome. Signing up to follow me is always appreciated. Please accept my best wishes.

    • Thank you Bette. I hope to get a chance to take the free offer on FB. It will be a busy time this weekend. I may also have my granddaughter here and it is also our stampede. I have never set up an offer such as yours and am very interested in seeing how it works.

    • I haven’t done one but I received your message and congratulations on the #1 children’s book in Amazon bestsellers list. I did miss your invite but what is the June 15 to 19 deal?

  2. I think you’ll go to Authorgraph and look for AMAZING MATILDA by Bette A. Stevens… Then you should be able to get through to me. Keep me posted, Slee and thanks so much. You’re helping me, not taking advantage. Everyone who buys our books is a word-of-mouth advertisement. You’re awesome. Let me know if you can’t get through. Go to my FB page and click on Signed eBooks tab at the top of the page. Here’s my Page link https://www.facebook.com/pages/Author-Bette-A-Stevens-Official-Fanpage/432247843452956 I”m ready to close down for the night, but we’ll touch base tomorrow. Blessings to you, Bette

  3. It’s Lily! Stopping in to say hi! 🙂 Oh, and by the way, since you usually stop by my blog anyway, stop by the latest also. You will notice that I’ve nominated you for a Liebster Blog Award! It’s always good to show love to great blog friends. http://wp.me/p38Uaw-7Y

  4. I have nominated you (given you) blogging awards. Claim your awards on my blog, please. Just check my most recent post. Thanks!

    • I just got nominated for another one and I don’t know how to combine yours with this one. I was able to do it with the other blog award but that is because there were two nominating me for the same award. I’ll have to look yours over again and let you know if I’m up for the challenge.

  5. Yes. Look at the blogs I have listed ABOVE the title “Unique Leaves Award”.

Yours is there! You can also combine your awards together, like I have, or write a post for each one. I am here if you have questions! 🙂

    • Thank you for posting my work on your blog. I am an author but I don’t edit other people’s work, just to make that clear. I do edit my work on my blog but I hire an editor for my manuscript for final proofread before publication. I like to have another’s eye and input before it goes out. I feel it is crucial. Thank you so much for sharing me with your readers.

  7. Such a delight to meet you!!! 🙂 Reading a part of what you shared on your blog, I am feeling like in front of my eyes just opened a gate that will allow me to explore the unknown. Fascinating unknown 🙂 Looking forward to receive your updates.
