Whether you read a book or magazine, go on the internet and search places, people or things they all take you to somewhere from the comfort of your home. They open you up to a world that may be similar or different from yours. This is my online space, flying with wordpress, to share with you all kinds of things: who I am in fragments, my accomplishments, my photos and anything I find interesting or strange that makes you think about things. It may be serious, some not so serious and some just darned right ridiculous.
Like a chef at work, you will see me perform. I will edit before your eyes as I post a share of thought filled with errors crying for perfection. It may not fill your belly but it will fill your heart of the taste of a writer at work. Because I share then edit, revise, and even remove and repost, I may drive you bonkers but do not despair. It is that of a writer, with errors to share and corrections to make. Do keep in mind I am first serving you words of wisdom before the edit as I write from the heart and soul. The life and times of a writer at work.

Thank you for liking a piece of mine – I am very intrigued by your blog. I am particularly interested in reading your edits. I personally love to write, but i have always enjoyed editing better – my own assignments, my son’s homework. i have always thought about writing ‘a something’ – but i also enjoy the other processes involved in writing as well:) kimberly
I don’t leave a paper trail so you have to catch the first draft of my post. I tend to post then revise. Some I work more on some I leave.
I feel you; it’s largely my habit as well. I enjoy writing even if I make no money at it because it’s my way of keeping from going insane with all the thoughts racing around my head. I’m working on my 2nd book and one day (soon) it’ll be done. ๐
Wish you all the best in your writing of your second book and thank you for your comment.
Thank you so much and God bless you whatever way you go!
Hi. Great sites! A god pairing that works very well. I’ve added this blog to my “Authors’ Blogs” links on my blog. I was going to add both but decided that the connection will become obvious enough to anybody visiting h
Great
Hi. Thanks for visiting and following my blog. Great to meet you. I look forward to reading your mind wanderings.:)

What a wonderful way of expressing the editing process (self and standardization). I was an assistant editor with an academic journal; helping authors turn manuscripts into published articles was an enjoyable process. I also worked with students to develop better writing skills.
I’ve written a lot over the years: in grade school, high school and college. I’ve written, academic articles, presentations, conference participant papers and of course, my theses. But there was always the tug at my heart and soul to just write for myself.
Clearing out my mother’s house 2010-11, I came across a journal of poetry from 1979 I had forgotten about. It was strange yet familiar to read — the same undercurrents are still there.
With your permission, may I quote from the he Author’s Note and provide a link back to your site?
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment. Sorry mine is so long-winded — conciseness has never been a description of me. I don’t have a smart phone, so I don’t tweet. I do have a hard time with 142 word limit.
As long as it has my name at the end of the quote you have chosen to use from my note, you may.
Thank you — I was going to put your name before the quote, but if you prefer at the end that’s fine.
I’ll let you know when I do a post that includes your very good description of the whole process.
Wonderful! Whichever way you choose is fine.
I’ll let you know when I plan to post it,
Of course, limit the amount used to one sentence please. A whole or large part of my work should only be shared by reblogging my post. Thank you.
Of course! My plan was to use your definition of editing as an opening quote. If I get your email address, I can forward you a copy pre posting to see if you feel comfortable with the quoting and linking to you work. My email is phylorsblog@ymail.com
Great! That’s fine. I wasn’t sure because of your first comment.
I have some cognitive issues, and I’m not expressing myself as well as I should. Sorry if it caused you some concern.
Don’t worry about it. It’s not a problem. I was just making sure we were both clear. Thank you for letting me know.
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated your blog for the Liebster Award ๐ see my latest post for details: http://howlinghowl.wordpress.com/2013/10/04/nominated-for-the-liebster-award/
Thank you for nominating me. I have received it already so I won’t do another. I appreciate you thinking of me, however.
Dear Slo, I’ve just nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogger award and thank you so much for inspiring and supporting me, my friend. You’ll find out all about it at http://4writersandreaders.com/2013/12/29/super-sweet-blogger-award/ Have a wonderful weend and a Very Happy New Year! Blessings to you and yours always, Bette
Thank you for the award and thinking of me. I don’t know if I will take the time to fill it out but I appreciate it.
hi SLS …..
Memories of the past two years come flashing back whenever I visit your blog, you stand as an inspiration to me !
Three years back when I started writing, my writings had pain and sorrow and it was evident in the stories I told, I have come back here time and again whenever I have needed to get a move on.
Writing is a lonely world, and I can’t think of better way to express it, except to say that I still write best when I feel the sorrow in me, it touches my soul and tears well up within me and it all comes out as a world where I can fly !
I would love to have you on my blog as a guest writer, somebody who can guide and auto-correct the path that I have chosen.
I don’t mean to sound overbearing in your private space and if you refuse, I will understand.
thx …. mandy
Explain more on the guest writer. Do you have a topic you want me to write? What kind of guest?
I do the same thing…..:)
Writing can be such a solitary task that it is wonderful to have this blog as a platform to share, and not be quite so alone in the process. Now I’m not saying I’m not enjoying the introspection, but there is a wonderful world out there with fascinating and talented people, and it’s terrific to engage even if it’s “virtual.”
Just stopped by to say Hi, my friend. HAVE A GREAT WEEK! ๐
Thank you so much. Glad you stopped by. I just am busy for a few months so I don’t get a chance to spend much time on the net but get the odd post ready and out.
I know what you mean, Slo. We’ve been busy with the gardens, a family wedding and more. Abundant blessings to you and yours! โค Bette
